Celestial Clouds

Marcus appeared high in the clouds.*man teleporting was getting hard these days*.He stepped forward looking at the giant cloud colored castle.marcus walked up into the castle noticing few gaurds as he walked in.*Um hello anyone here.Marcus held his black scythe in his hand just in case as he watched the gaurds.

The guards were on their utmost guard. Their colorless eyes focusing on the man that presented himself to them. "Halt!" They said in unison. Their weapons, configured of advanced magic were gripped tightly in their hands. A sound from behind them a voice, something that caused these guards to stand down and step aside. Their kin had made his appearance almost in the knick of time before a battle broke out. The king, a man shrouded in a large white cloak stepped forth. His figure was soon through the shroud however it seemed to be a shadow for those looking upon this being. His steps were not steps but a mere glide. His voice was strong as he approached this man that stood before his empire. "You have entered the province of the clouds.. you must be here upon my request." The man smiled under his veil. "You see. I have two quests for you actually but they fall into play with the other." The bottom of his cloak ruffled a bit with a seeming growing wind. He chuckled a bit. "You see, brave warrior. My wife has fallen ill and my son, kidnapped. This is not your average kidnapping.. for you see..." He paused a moment. "The kidnappers have taken a vile of an all-curin medicine that can surely cure my wife's condition. This disease can not be cured by even the most advanced magics... believe me when I say.. we have tried them all, kind sir.."

"These kidnappers are from a distant realm.. my son, when he was born was born with an ancient marking that is; apparently the key that they have been searching for. There is an essence within my son that they seek..but that essence is enfused with his soul.. if and when they extract the essence they will also be robbing my son of his soul as well. Please.. these are powerful... powerful beings.." The king's hand came from his side, holding an item. It was in the shape and form of a feather. "Take this feather.. this feather will create a dimension hole that will lead you to the dimension of these unknown entities.. they are not gods but they are surely powerful.. how powerful, I am not pin-point sure but please.. on behalf of my kingdom.. I ask that you save my son and return to us the medicine to revitalize my wife.. it is a silver liquid in a thin vial." The king rose extended his arm out to the side and thus, the two guards bowed to the individual in respect and hope. "God speed to you sir!"

Marcus stood there and took the scroll.These were powerful gaurds and the king himself was a formidable figure but he wondered just how powerful they really were.Why didn't he send his own if they were so strong?Marcus turned walking down the stairs looking at the feather.His cape floated around himself as he stared out at the clouds and closed his eyes as he raised the feather throwing it.Marcus watched it open a portal he stepped forward into the portal before appearing on a different land.

The white shroud that veiled the king faltered. He began to laugh with a sinister tone. The white shroud changed from a white to a purplish black enfused. Four large black wings sprouted from the king's back and lightning flashed, thunder booming across the lands. The two guardians that stood at his side also changed, their armor falling from them as they were now standing there, silent, cloaked in black hooded robes. "We will use this man to complete our rituall..muwahahaa...HAHAHAHAHA!!!" And with that, a black smog rose from around them veiling them within its loose volume and thus, they were gone. Moving to the other dimension where they had allowed this man passage through the use of the feather item. The other dimension were nothing but floating masses of land. The bottom of this dimension was really nothing, it was a void. The ritual that was to be completed was to restore their dimension after their magic had backfired and destroyed their residence. When the individual came through the end of the portal, he would find himself on an barren strip of floating land. The three other individuals appeared together in their sinister shrouded form on another strip of land opposite of the man. The supposed 'king', spoke. "Thank you for arriving here. We will be able to use you wonderfully in our ritual."

Marcus looked at them nothing changed on his cold face his crimson eyes stared at them and like a flash lighting shot from his hand at the one on the left.If hit it would send him flying back it may or may not kill him depending on how well it could handle lightning.Marcus bent his knees and jumped flipping in the air as he landed.Swinging his scythe in a full circle he had aimed for the one on the right.If struck it would rip him in half.For defense he had thrown a barrier up around himself keeping his scythe on the outside. When Marcus swung the scythe a loud scream erupted the sound of a banshee screaming in full thunder of vocal pain.For the middle one he had saved a special one. Marcus's hand lit up in a bright blinding light sending a light orb at the mans chest from a foot away.If hit it would render the mans very body in agonizing terrorizing pain.

"Touvei..." The center person spoke alone. It was a quick, minor spell. What this allowed was for his mana to engulf the other two that stood at his sides, providing them safety from the two attacks. Both attacks that were initiated were left useless. What had occured was this, these were cloud socerors; or so to give them a proper title. The two subordinates phrased, drafting with the wind of the attacks for a breif moment as the attacks passed through them but they soon reconstituted. During this time, they were able to accumulate an enormous amount of mana from the shattered dimension. This mana was thrusted between their king and his assaulter as the orb was launched. Perfect timing. Such enormous collision of mana caused an explosion of energies, visible to even the untrained eyes. It was a blue, shimmering sphere. They had halted the ball that was directed to the king with this distortion. During this explosion, they vanished; all that was left of their trace was a diminishing dark shroud. They moved... they were still about.

"RATU!!" a voice echoed as a massive jolt of lightnin zig-zagged its way with inpeccable speed toward the man. The other two were not to be seen yet, however, this one was merely one of the two subordinates. The lightning formulated from his left hand. If the man could not avoid, his entire body would suffer from a moment of paralysis which would provide all the time needed for the three beings to follow through with their plans.

Marcus flipped away landing away from the bolt his body glowing as he threw out a special barrier.If they weren't transparent they would slam right into it. Marcus stepped back he knew he was in trouble he tried to warp but found he couldn't.He back flipped onto a piece of floating rock as his scythe glowed. He raised it above his head spinning it around and around making the banshee scream one more time.At this speed however it was enough to shatter a mans skull as the howling got louder and louder.If it effected the three of them they would be forced out of there transparency and made vulnerable to his attacks. For defense Marcus summoned a shield all around his body that was able to withstand 3 spells before shattering.

The subordinate smirked underneath the hood. The other two came into view as well and thus, they began to chant in unison. The first phrase was completed just as he began to spin his weapon above his head. Given the positions of the other two, they were in a triangular format. The banshee shreik was forumlated through energy induced by the weapon, this, was slowed, giving them more time. They were focusing mana on the man's location. The second phrase was this completed, the man's energy that creates the banshee was practically to them; infact, inches. Due to the second phrase the energy within their triagulated formate was frozen in place. Third phrase, the energy that was released began to retract, focusing on the man's location, even the barrier that was placed about him for protection began to retract. The forth phrase would be all that is needed to heighten the rate in which the energy is being retracted to complete their action. This action was the ritual needed. Time within the perimeter slowed, gravity was becoming increasing severe; all focused on the man's chest. Be it that they complete this forth phrase, that will be the end of the man. Energy omissions would be forced to retract and physical movement, slowed from the rapidly increasin gravity. This man here had merely seconds, if eveven three seconds at that to react. The phrase was almost completed...

In a split second the shrieking stopped and there was a suction of energy right back into him.Everything went from slowing down to speeding up. Standing there was no longer the war-mage but a 12 foot Kulan.A being of immense power in his right hand he wielded a 5 ft sword his left hand was empty.6 wings protruded from his back he wore a golden mask 6 eyes staring at all three of them in both forms.At the same time he shot up into the sky with a loud shriek shattering rocks with just his voice.The Kurun spun in the air forming a large triangle of masterful defense.He looked down facing the three of them releasing two blasts the size of war ships right down to the three of them before vanishing.If it hit them it would destroy there atom's to nothing.His body shimmered before vanishing even in this reality.The Kulan appeared slicing at one of the men his sword was celestial able to hit both apparent and phased opponents.If it hit it would tear the man to nothing.From there he would follow up his wings firing 6 blasts aimed for the second one.It as well was specialy made to destroy both forms if hit it would turn him to dust.The Kulan shot into the air his hand raising as a large orb appeared growing and growing.his hand placed under it as it looked down on the forms below.Unless the other two were gone and it was the last one.The orb emitted anti matter power.It twisted and shot it down.It came down like a missile from the heavens.If it hit it would obliterate the man to nothing.If it missed it wouldn't matter as it would destroy everything down below him in a 10 mile radius.His hands lit up just in case the men lived through this as well.

That was it. The key to defeating the three sages. Attack them while they are seperate from one another. Maybe it was sheer luck or the man was aware of his actions but the three sages were utterly obliterated. Their black shrouds diminished to nothing, not even a scream was heard, they died a silent death. Where each sage took their last breath, an item was left; totalling three items.

A blade, encrested with raw magic that is unable to be harnessed through natural forging.

A tablet with an ancient language enscribed on the surface. [Quest required to obtain translation]

A cloak with a symbol stitched to the back. Nothing magical about this other than it changes from white to black; given the influence of the wearer's will.
