Training for EXP

Marcus walked out into the grasslands, having left the academy ripe with knowledge and a couple licenses, but with a lack of quests, he didnt have much to do. Soe he decided to see if he could find any easy monsters to crush for some quick exp. He walked throught the grasses and admired the sun against the hills and the trees in the distance, how the mountain rose up so far away that it looked blue, and how Eden looked so magnificent in the light, it was a good idea to come here, he thought, he felt it would do some good to get away from his old life.
(Hopefully someone finds this, I could really use some monsters to fight.)

A huff sounded as a 7 foot raptor ran up out of no where running around the young alchemist.As it stomped it's feet staring green drool leaked from it's mouth onto the ground burning a hole in the dirt.It reared back on it's tail firing a dark green liquid.If it hit it would burn the flesh off of the alchemist like lava to butter.

Marcus dodged it expertly and drew out his katana, glad he at least knew how to fight still, he ran forward to attack the acid spitting raptor before it could get any more fluid up.

The (Lvl1) Raptor hissed using it's speed as it flowed back and forth to avoid the man getting close.It reared back firing another acid shot this time in a shot gun pattern.It would only took one to wound the boy and end the fight.The acid closed in almost touching the boy's face.

Marcus drew into a defensive stance and drew out his katana from the sheath lightning fast, and the sword passed through the acid heading towards him and seperated it into parts that flew past him, he then used the centerfugal force to spin more and spin forward towards the raptor, shooting the claymore from it's sheath with only his right hand and shooting it hilt first into the chest of the raptor, hopefully knocking it back.

The raptor was hit falling to the ground rolling around.On the fall his left foreleg and tail was broken leaving the poor beast defenseless except his acid shot.

Marcus moved forward quickly and decapitated the beast, feeling that it would be easier to kill it then have it limp away in pain anyway, and the sense of accomplishment that he killed an acid spitting raptor did feel good.

Battle won exp 30.

Marcus smiled and shrugged off the win, cleaning off his blades before continuing on his trek for more exp. Dragging the dead carcass along with him, just incase it would draw other hungry monsters, or could be used for some purpose in his alchemy later.

A screech echoed from above as a giant falcon shot down for the carcass it's razor talon's opened for the meaty flesh of the raptor carcass.If grabbed it would yank it from the alchemist's grip and fly off if it missed the young boy would have a major fight on his head.(Lvl6)

Marcus rolled forward , pulling his claymore back out, knowing the conciquences of it would be as he pulled it out and pushed it straight into the body of the approaching falcom, feeling the strained sword snap as it embedded itself deep into the falcon and snapping off at the hilt, rolling past the falcon as it fell to the ground. (Sacrificed for a quick kill)

Battle won but for a quick kill half exp will be taken leaving you with 45 exp.

Not only was it bad enough that his sword had been destroyed, he had lost half the exp he could have gotten because he didnt fight it properly, Marcus pulled the blade from the falcon and stuck it in the sheath, then covered it with the hilt, he'd worry about that later, he sat down on the raptor's carcass and waited, for something to hunger for the two heaping piles of dead meat he was sitting on.

A huff sounded as a giant rock troll walked forward throwing back it's head as it bellowed shaking the ground.In his right hand he carried a giant stone hammer.On the left hand he had a rock shield it stood 8 feet tall made out of stone and flesh.His foot was the size of the man it's eyes were rock's and it was hungry for the flesh.

"Hooo crap." Marcus drew his katana and prayed to whichever god he worshiped that the troll would not find a way to snap his weapon before he cut it open, moving forward quickly to cut the troll's left arm as he ran past and swerved around.

The rock troll looked down at the small scratch on one of it's rock arms.It spun around letting go a roar that shook the ground.It closed the 5 foot distance in two steps raising it's hammer and swung down aiming for the man's torso if it hit it would destroy the body.A graze would be enough to break a limb and if the man dodge the rock shield had swung around to smash the body from the only way out.

Marcus acted quickly, the transmutation circle carved into the hilt of his katana glowed and he slammed it into the ground and turned it like a key, a great pillar of ground shot out and hit the golem in the square of the chest, pushing it back and possibly flipping it onto it's back. He then drew out his katana again and backed up.

The golem backed up eying the human in anger it slammed a hand into the ground shooting them up behind the boy.They had all turn sharp and since it was a sneak attack they pierced the boy through his stomach and out the other side before he could move away.

Marcus gave one of those movie surprise gasps and looked down slowly at the stone spikes protruding from his stomach, coughing up blood as he did so and getting it on the stone. He raised his sword and slamed it into the ground, two pillars of stone coming up to completely smash the golem's head to a pancake inbetween them. he groaned a little and drew a circle of his own blood on the stone protruding from his stomach, it activated and they shrank into the ground, as he fell to the ground. He began coughing up more blood and cursed. "If only I were a hearler..."

The golem's head was smashed but the body moved forward standing over the man.It raised it's hammer bringing it down with the final blow ending the young man on the field.

Battle over player lost no worries exp is kept,)

Marcus I respect your cunning but the battle is over you lost fair and square.You lose no exp and will just have to start over but the battle with the golem is over please delete the post thank you.)
